No Sew Curtains

I recently re-did my daughter's bedroom and was having a hard time finding curtains.  I wanted a valance and I wanted a pattern.  90% of what I found was either a solid color or way out of my price range.

I had seen something similar to this way back and while in Joann's for another reason I remembered it.

Picked out one patterened print and white broadcloth.  I got a yard of each and since it was on sale I think I may have spent $6 on the fabric. Her double window is 60 inches and two yards worked perfectly.  I then cut a small snip for the width of my strips and ripped the fabric which served two purposes for me; I can't cut a straight line and I like the wavy texture it gives it.  Each strip is a yard long.

Rotating the fabric I looped it over the rod and pulled it tight.

Her room has one wall painted pink and the fabric matches perfectly!
